Project Chick with Casey Farm (Virtual)

A farm educator from Historic New England’s Casey Farm in Saunderstown will present a slide show about how chickens are raised at the farm. Learn about the life cycle of chickens, what they eat, and what precautions are taken to protect them from predators. A display of various bird eggs, from hummingbird to ostrich will be available for viewing. Children can then observe a live Dominique hen and learn how to properly handle a live baby chick!
